The Knox County Commissioners have ruled out the acquisition of the vacant Old National Bank Building in downtown Vincennes.
Officials say it would cost too much to remodel to meet the county’s needs and would be too far away from other county offices.
Finally, it was noted that the building is being looked at by developers.
With the bank building out of the picture, the focus is now on repurposing other facilities, including the soon to be empty Community Corrections building located across from the Knox County Courthouse on 8th Street.
