Holiday Events at Dubois County Museum

November 15, 2018 - December 16, 2018

The Dubois County Museum opens their Christmas holiday season on Thursday, November 15, with the opening of the annual Festival of Trees.

The holiday season also features these scheduled programs:

Sunday, Nov 18—2pm Haysville Ruritan holds Ruritan annual raffle drawing.

Thursday, Nov 22—Closed Thanksgiving

Sunday, Nov 25 at 1:15pm—Kinder Karneval  German Festival for children put on by JHS students studying German.

Sunday, Nov 25—Christmas Carols sung by the Singing Seniors at 3 pm. Refreshments.

 

Dec 1–2  (Saturday and Sunday) O’Tannenbaum Days:

Come view the Festival of Trees displayed.  This year’s theme is Americana/God Bless America

Saturday, Dec 1st  9 am Breakfast with Santa—with Christmas crafts, activities, and visits with Santa; Reservations required by Nov. 24, 2018. Contact csermersh@hotmail.com

Dec 1st, 2 pm Violin concert by The Strings, Inc. Don’t miss it.

Sunday, Dec 2nd,  2pm  Violin musical entertainment on the Log House front

Dec 8, Saturday—Cookie Walk-10:00-2:00

10:30—Storytime in the children’s area.  Come hear about Christmas and Christmas cookies.

Dec 9, Sunday—Cookie Walk- 1:00—3:00

Dubois County Country Cloggers perform at 1:30. Refreshments.

 

Saturday, December 15, 10-4pm  Christmas Lego Train at the museum.  10:30 Storytime for the children on Trains/Legos theme.  12:30 Movie and popcorn.

Sunday, Dec 16, 1:30—Blake Buechlein brings his Patoka River alligator (yes, it is alive) and his collection of live snakes, lizards, and turtles. Fascinating!
