The Indiana State Police has given its investigation of a police-involved shooting to Sullivan County’s prosecutor.
Deputies shot and killed Cameron Lee Atkins in early April.
Deputies visited a home on Tulip Lane near Sullivan Park and Lake to discuss a protective order.
Atkins pointed a gun at them upon their arrival, leading to the shooting.
Both deputies were placed on administrative leave as per department policy.
