In baseball action…Northeast Dubois scored seven runs in the first inning and went on to beat Vincennes Rivet 15-4.
Hunter Bilskie led the Patriots with three hits while Jayden Thacker added pair of hits and Brody Shots
connected on a three-run homer.
Mt Vernon scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 2-2 tie and beat Vincennes Lincoln 6-2 in softball action.
Bradie Turpin, Miley Carie-Frederick, Matti Collins and Kate Jones had hits for the Alices, who fall to 8-12 on the season.
It is a second straight Blue Chip Conference girls’ tennis title for South Knox, as they go 20-0 on the season with a 5-0 win over Rivet.  Singles winners were Abby Cunningham, Alli Hayden, and Grace Arnold, with doubles wins for Caroline Beard and Grace Carie, and Graceanna Cramer and Anna Provines.
On the local sports scene for today
The Vincennes Lincoln baseball team plays at Shakamak at 5:30.
The Rivet Baseball team is on the road to Evansville Christian at six.
North Knox baseball team hosts Shoals at 5:30.
In softball action…
Vincennes Lincoln visits Evansville North at six.  South Knox hosts Eastern Greene
at 5:30.
Tennis action has Loogootee visiting Lincoln at 4:30.
Congratulations goes out to Barr-Reeve senior pitcher Karlye Graber, who tossed a
perfect 5-inning game in a 10-nothing win over Washington.  The Murray State bound pitcher
struck out all 15 batters she faced in the win.
In Middle School Track, the Clark 8th grade boys finished fourth at the Big 4 conference meet.
Top finishers for Clark were second place finishes for David Marquez in the 110 meter hurdles,
Lobens Lorial in the 200 meter dash and Carson McCormick in the shot put.
The 6th/7th grade finished second.  First place finishers for CMS go to Ethan Shoulders who won
the 110 meter hurdles and in a new school record time of 16-8 and Landon Hartley, who captured both
the high jump and long jump.  Braylen Sanders did have a pair of second place finishes in the 100 and 400
meter dash.  Shoulders also finished second in the 400 meter dash and Hartley in the 100 meter dash.
The Clark Middle school girls also took part in the Big 4.  The 8th grade finished fourth with Kaylyn Ozment having
the best finish, a third in the 1600-meter run.  In the 6th/7th grade event, Veronic Butler won the Discus while
Mia Fleetwood was second in the high jump.
The Rivet Middle School girls tennis team beat Washington Catholic 4-1.  Winning for Rivet in singles
play were Bridget Stein,  Ella Beard and Tenley Pargin,  and the doubles team of Addi Beaman and Anna Halter.
