Knox County Sports Roundup for Thursday

The Lincoln Baseball team picked up its second straight win over a ranked opponent in as many days, downing
Class 3-A number five Princeton 11-1 in five innings.  The Alices got a complete game victory out of Cam Primus,
who allowed only one run on two hits.  Jayden Ray, Luke Hall, Drew Hambrick, Jace Kinnett and Cayden McCrary all had
two hits as Lincoln moves to 12-4 on the season.
The South Knox Spartans also picked up another win, defeating @ood Memorial 11-1 in six innings.  A six-run fifth lifted the Spartans to the ten run vitory.  Evan Hartwick tossed one hit, one run baseball over five innings for the win.  Kole Vash and Jacob Allen led the way for the Spartans with three hits ap;iece.
The Lincoln Junior varsity baseball team beat Evansville Mater Dei 14-12.  Gavin Kelso paced the Alices with four RBI’s on
three hits while Phoenix McCrary added four hits.
The Lincoln softball team is now 8-8 on the year after beating Bloomfield 6-3.  Kahre McCrary paced the Alices with
three hits, including a double.  Grace Archer picked up the win on the mound and also added two hits.
The South Knox Tennis team beat Vincennes Lincoln 5-0.  Winning in singles action were Abby Cunningham, Alli Hayden,
and Grace Arnold.  Scoring doubles wins were Caroline Beard and Grace Carie in number one doubles and Reagan
Harrington and Anna Provines at number two doubles.
Vincennes Lincoln junior Greer Hardin placed second in the high jump at yesterday’s SIAC meet at Evansville Central.
Hardin cleared 5’1 to finish behind Leah Heldman of Mater Dei who recorded a jump of 5-2.  Overall, Lincoln finished ninth
in the meet with 12 points.  Castle was first at 151.
The Clark Middle School Boys track team defeated Princeton and Evansville Christian.  The Alices set two school records…theyy
were Ethan Shoulders in the 110-meter-high hurdles and Roman Lowe in the 300-meter hurdles.  Elsewhere, Lobens Lorial was first i
n the 100- and 200-meter dash.  Landon Hartley in the 400-meter dash and also the 8th grade 4-by-100 and 7th grade 4-by-100
were also victorious.
On the local sports scene for today…
The Lincoln Baseball team plays at Evansville Memorial at 5:30.
North Knox plays at Wood Memorial at six.
Lincoln softball team hosts Princeton at six.  You can watch the game live streamed at wzdm.com.
South Knox softball visits Bloomfield at six.
North Knox hosts Olney at 5:30.
Lincoln tennis team plays at Washington at six.
South Knox tennis team squares off against Barr-Reeve at 4:30.
The Lincoln Boys take part in the SIAC Track Meet.
South Knox, North Knox, and North Daviess run at Washington at five.
