The Spencer County Coroner’s office says the driver of an SUV is facing charges following a fatal crash Sunday afternoon on I-64 eastbound.
The vehicle, driven by 43-year-old Angelo Rios of Evansville, left the roadway, went down an embankment and rolled over several times.
A passenger, 66-year-old Neal Vaughan of Elberfeld, died after being ejected from the vehicle.
Rios and another passenger of the SUV were taken to a nearby hospital.
Rios was found to have methamphetamine and amphetamines in his blood and was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated Resulting in Death and Operating While Intoxicated/ Endangerment.
