The Knox County Sheriff’s Office says a Vincennes couple is facing felony charges of Neglect of a Dependent/ Child Abuse and Domestic Battery on a Child Less than 14 years of age.
23-year-old Juan Garcia and 24-year-old Samantha Rutledge were arrested Wednesday night after Juan took their one-year-old child to the emergency room at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital with injuries consistent with abuse and neglect.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested the pair at their home after speaking with them about the injuries.
Both denied involvement in the injuries.
