A Sullivan County Grand Jury this week indicted 38-year-old William Ray Grimes for the 2012 Murder of Lowell Badger.

Badger, a retired farmer, was killed in his home on December 8th, 2012.

The Indiana State Police have continued to work on the case since that day.

Earlier this year, Sullivan County Prosecutor Ann Mischler was requested to appoint a special prosecutor for the case.

On April 17th a grand jury was impaneled in Sullivan Superior Court to review the case and after six days of evidence and testimony, Grimes was indicted on charges of Murder, Burglary, and Conspiracy to Commit Burglary.

Authorities say this is the beginning of the criminal process and anyone who has information related to Badger’s murder is encouraged to contact the Indiana State Police.
