Knox County Sports Review, Preview for Tuesday

The Lincoln Baseball team scored five runs in the fifth inning to pull away from North Knox 7-2.
Jace Kinnett picked up the win for the Alices,  going six innings and striking out nine.
Big Day for Cayden McCrary, who had four hits, including a homerun while Brady Anderson
and Raden Benson each had two RBI’s for Lincoln, which moves to 7-3 on the season.  Eli Elkins
had a pair of hits while Braxton Yenne and Korbin Jones each drove in a run for North Knox, which is now
3-8 on the spring.
The Lincoln softball teams rally in the bottom of the seventh came up just short as Evansville Mater Dei held
on to beat the Lady Alices 6-5.  Miley Carie Frederick continues to swing a hot bat as the sophomore accounted for all
five RBI’s for Lincoln, which slips to 5-6 and 2-1 in the SIAC.
The South Knox softball team lost in nine innings to Robinson, Illinois 11-9.  Lily Culp led the Spartans with a pair of home runs while Ally Sims added Two hits, one a home run and drove in three runs.
The South Knox Tennis Team blanked Sullivan 5-0.  Winners for South Knox in Singles play were Abbi Cunningham, Alli Hayden and Grace Arnold.  Also posting wins were the doubles teams of Caroline Beards and Grace Carie and the duo of Reagan Harrington and Anna Provines.
The Lincoln Track teams lost to Princeton last night.
In the boys Meet, Individual first place honors went to Daniel Nash in the shot put, Aiden Fleetwood in the High jump,  Brody Francis in the 3200 meter run.  In the girls meet,  Greer Hardin was first in the high jump, McKenna Poyser 3200 meter run,  Alivia Eaton in the discus.
The North Knox Jr High Boys track team finished third in a triangular meet.  WRV had 67 points, Shakamak 46 and North Knox 35.
First place finishers for North Knox were Malcom Hoffman in the 300-meter Hurdles and 200 meter dash.  Sam Goodwin in the shot put
and the 4 by 100 relay team.
The Clark Middle School softball team beat North Knox 13-7.  Olivia Lange had four hits and drove in three runs while Jaclyn Miller also had four hits.  Clark won the B game
17-2.  Marcie Luchtefeld had three hits for CMS.
The Lincoln Golf team beat Evansville Harrison and central.  The Alices had 159,
Central a 196 and Harrison a 237.  Dusty Taylor paced Lincoln with a 35 and was medalis
