Call For Volunteers for Tornado Recovery Tree Planting in Sullivan Area

sullivan-tornado-2

An EF3 tornado hit the City of Sullivan on March 31st of last year, causing widespread damage and killing three people.

Thanks to funding from the Arbor Day Foundation and FedEx, the Indiana Division of Forestry’s Community Urban Forestry Program will lead a tree planting recovery project in the impacted areas this Friday from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

Volunteers are needed to help plant and distribute free trees to Sullivan area residents and register volunteers.

If you are interested in volunteering, email jroos@dnr.IN.gov.
