New Color-Coded Map to be Released Thursday to Help Schools Combat Covid-19

The Indiana State Department of Health will be releasing a new color-coded map Thursday to help schools with their decision making in regards to Covid-19. Dr. Khristina Box with the Indiana State Department of Health details the metrics that will determine the colors

According to the scale, counties with less than 10 new cases per 100,000 individuals will be scored a 0. 10-99 cases would score a 1, 100-199 would be scored a 2, and more than 200 cases would be scored a 3. On positivity percentage, less than 5 percent will score a 0. 5 to 9.9 percent will score a 1. 10 to 14.9 percent will score a 2 and anything above 15% will score a 3. The average of the two score will trigger what color a county will be. Blue is 0 with Yellow 1, Orange 2, and Red 3
