ISP Nets Three DUI’s in Putnamville District.

The Indiana State Police made three DUI related arrests over the New Years Holiday in the Putnamville District.

In Vigo County, troopers arrested 40-year-old April Neal of Terre Haute after blowing a .11 on a breathalyzer test. Also in Vigo County, troopers arrested 34-year-old Roberto Garcia of Evansville after blowing a .16, twice Indiana’s legal limit. Garcia’s DUI arrested was raised to a level 6 felony due to a previous conviction.

In Sullivan County, 56-year-old Timothy Scott was arrested for a DUI after officers determined that Scott was operating a vehicle on a controlled substance. Scott’s arrest was raised to a level 6 felony due to a prior conviction.

All three were booked into their respective county jails. Last year during New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, more than 900 crashes occurred throughout Indiana resulting in 174 injuries and four fatalities.
