Indiana is taking off as a leader in defense technology.
Governor Mike Braun launched the new Midwest UAS Test Site Thursday in Terre Haute.
It’s one of just nine FAA-designated sites in the country for testing drones and autonomous aircraft.
The site is now open and accepting members — from startups to major aerospace companies — to test, certify, and commercialize new technology.
Braun says it positions Indiana as a national security leader and gives companies another reason to build and grow in the Hoosier State.
