Pike County residents impacted by last month’s severe weather are now eligible for federal disaster aid.
FEMA has added Pike County to the list of counties approved for both Individual Assistance and Public Assistance following the August storms, tornadoes and flooding in Indiana.
The designation means homeowners and renters in Pike County can now apply for Individual Assistance.
Residents can begin the application process online at DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling the FEMA Helpline at 1-800-621-3362.
According to FEMA, the program may provide help with serious immediate needs, temporary lodging, basic home repairs, personal property loss and other expenses caused by the disaster.
Public Assistance funding will also be available to local governments and eligible nonprofits for repair and recovery costs related to the storms.
