Vincennes Man Faces Murder, Arson Charges in Death of 18-Year-Old

A Vincennes man is facing preliminary charges of murder and arson in connection with the death of an 18-year-old woman Monday night.

37-year-old Shane Carie was arrested Thursday night by investigators from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, with the assistance of the Vincennes Police Department.

18-year-old Aileese Tucker died at an Indianapolis hospital after being pulled from a burning home Monday night at 946 North 11th Street in Vincennes.

No additional details on the fire have been released.

Investigators encourage anyone with information about the fire to call the Indiana Arson Hotline at 1-800-382-4628.
