Vincennes University to Host Events Commemorating 25th Anniversary of 9/11

Vincennes University is marking the 25th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks with a series of remembrance events this week.

It starts today (Thursday) at 3 p.m., with the setup of memorial flags on the V-U Track infield.

Then on Friday, the university will hold a flag retreat ceremony and memorial bell ringing at 4:30 at the Homeland Security Building.

That’s followed by a First Responder Memorial Walk at 5 p.m.

Participants will walk 441 laps around the track, one for every first responder lost that day.

Students, staff, alumni, and the community are all invited to take part.
