Heat Advisory Now in Effect Through 8:00 p.m. Friday

The National Weather Service says a Heat Advisory is now in effect through 8:00 p.m. Friday.

It had been set to expire Thursday night.

Heat index values up to 108 degrees are expected.

Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.

Drink plenty of fluids, limit time outdoors, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
