Ferdinand Man Makes Initial Court Appearance on Drug Charges

A 74-year-old Ferdinand man made his initial court appearance Tuesday on several drug charges stemming from an incident at his residence on Monday.

The Dubois County Prosecutor’s Office says Leon Mehling is charged with Dealing in Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Dealing in Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Mehling is being held on $50,000 cash only bond in the Dubois County Security Center.
