Indiana State Police say an Indianapolis man faces attempted murder and other charges after allegedly slashing a co-worker Saturday at an Indiana State Fair food vendor.
The 20-year-old victim was taken to an Indianapolis hospital with serious injuries.
Police identified the suspect as 37-year-old Steven Mimms, who left the fair before officers arrived.
Early Sunday morning, police found Mimms hiding in the attic of a home in the 500 block of North Beville Avenue in Indianapolis.
Mimms was arrested on preliminary charges of attempted murder, escape from home detention, and resisting law enforcement.
He was taken to an Indianapolis-area hospital for evaluation.
