A Velpen man is sentenced to over 2 ½ years in prison on felony charges of Theft and Possession of a Controlled Substance, and a misdemeanor count of Refusal to Identify Himself.
The Dubois County Prosecutor’s Office says 39-year-old Robert Williams had earlier pleaded guilty to the charges in Dubois Superior Court as part of a negotiated plea agreement.
The sentences will also run consecutively to (or after) several sentences that he has received out of other counties in Indiana and Kentucky.
As a condition of his sentence, Williams must pay restitution to and have no contact with the Celestine Dollar General Store.
