Two men are in custody in connection with a vehicle theft in Orange County.
Indiana State and French Lick Police were on the lookout for a Hummer stolen Wednesday from French Lick Auto Sales.
A trooper spotted the vehicle on State Road 145 and attempted to pull it over, but the driver refused to stop.
Police say the vehicle eventually came to a stop, and the driver, later identified as 33-year-old Johnathon Smedley of French Lick, fled on foot into a wooded area.
A passenger, 42-year-old Tyler Cox of French Lick, exited the vehicle and confronted the state trooper.
The trooper used a taser to take him into custody.
Smedley is facing charges of Vehicle Theft, Theft, Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle, Resisting Law Enforcement, and Driving While Suspended Prior.
Cox is charged with Vehicle Theft, Theft, Resisting Law Enforcement, and Public Intoxication.
