Indiana State Police say a Petersburg man was arrested Wednesday in Spencer County on an outstanding Pike County warrant for Dealing Methamphetamine and Dealing Controlled Substances.
The arrest of Trevor Adkins followed an investigation that began in January by the ISP’s Drug Enforcement Section with the assistance of the United States Postal Service.
During Wednesday’s traffic stop, a police K-9 alerted officers to the presence of narcotics in Adkins’ vehicle.
A search turned up suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Later that evening, investigators executed a search warrant at Adkins’ residence in Petersburg where approximately 3 ounces of suspected marijuana, marijuana wax, THC vapes, and paraphernalia were found.
Throughout the course of the investigation, officers seized about four ounces of suspected methamphetamine, approximately 300 suspected controlled-substance pills.
