The Pike County School Corporation issued a statement Saturday morning saying the school board has severed all ties with a former Pike Central High School teacher accused of inappropriate conduct with a student.
The statement, posted on the school corporation’s Facebook page, says PCSC initiated formal termination proceedings before receiving a handwritten resignation and will fully cooperate with law enforcement.
It also says the alleged conduct violates every standard of professional conduct the Board demands of those who serve our students.
The school corporation says the school board will proactively assist the Indiana State Police and the criminal prosecution to ensure accountability.
