400 Jobs in Bloomington to Be Impacted by Layoffs at Pharmaceutical Company

Hundreds of Hoosiers will be out of a job due to layoffs expected to happen in Bloomington this spring.

Pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk plans to lay off 20-percent of its staff.

The workforce reduction will impact around 400 jobs — and will start in May.

The company says 14-hundred people will still be employed at their facility in Bloomington.

Novo Nordisk is the company behind weight loss medications Ozempic and Wegovy.
