Ohio voters approved the legalization of recreational marijuana this week, meaning Indiana is now bordered by states to the west, north, and east that allow for it.
Indiana State Police are warning people it is still completely illegal in the state, even for medical use.
Sergeant John Perrine says people cannot even travel through Indiana with marijuana and says they have seen an increase in the number of people who “don’t know the law.”
He says they will enforce the state laws banning the drug.
