Elections: 8th District U.S. Representative

Indiana’s 8th District U.S. Representative is on the ballot Tuesday.

Republican Mark Messmer, of Jasper, is seeking his second two-year term.

He was elected two years ago to replace longtime Representative Larry Bucshon.

Messmer faces Democratic challenger Mary Allen, an Evansville City Councilwoman.

All nine of Indiana’s congressional seats are up for election.

There are no U.S. Senate races in Indiana this year.
