A Jasper man is in the Dubois County Jail after police say he fled a traffic stop.
Deputies say 27-year-old Dagon Frye took off from a stop Wednesday afternoon on Newton Street in front of Taco Bell in Jasper, leading officers on a high-speed chase that was later terminated for public safety.
The Dubois County Prosecutor’s Office says deputies later found his truck abandoned near 450 North and located Frye walking through a field near Werner Sawmill in Ireland.
Frye is charged with Resisting Law Enforcement, possession of meth and marijuana, and three counts of OWI.
The Dubois County Prosecutor also filed a habitual offender enhancement.
A judge set bond at 10-thousand dollars cash only.
