Daviess County Government Wins Statewide Award for Courthouse Renovation

Daviess County Government is winning a statewide honor for its courthouse renovation.

The Association of Indiana Counties has awarded Daviess County the 2026 County Achievement Award — announced Wednesday during the AIC Annual Conference in Allen County.

The project restored the courthouse, originally built in 1927 and 28, preserving its historic character while modernizing it to serve future generations.

The award celebrates innovation, stewardship of public resources, and positive community impact — with winning projects serving as a model for Indiana’s 92 counties.
