An Evansville woman is facing a neglect charge after her three-year-old child drowned in a pool Saturday.
Police say Amie Jo Farber was at a home on North Second Avenue when the child was found floating face-down in the pool around 4:30 p.m.
Witnesses pulled the child from the water and started CPR.
The child was taken to a hospital and later died.
Police say Farber had been drinking while the child was in the pool.
A homeowner told officers Farber appeared to be asleep in a patio chair when the child was found.
