Barr-Reeve Community Schools will hold an informational meeting at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, September 3rd, in the cafeteria.
The meeting concerns the school board’s recent decision to place an operating referendum renewal on the November 3rd ballot to continue funding key programs despite reduced state funding and property tax changes.
The current referendum expires in 2028.
Officials say renewal would support students and future planning.
The estimated 2027 tax increase is $42 a year, or $3.59 per month.
The purpose of this meeting is to provide information to help voters make a well-informed decision on November 3rd.
