A brief tornado touched down in central Knox County Thursday afternoon.
Officials say the weak, spin-up tornado tracked over and northeast of State Road 550, following Mariah Creek toward Bruceville.
Most of the damage was limited to trees in a heavily wooded area.
Some county roads west of Bruceville were also affected.
The tornado was part of a larger storm system that moved through the area.
That storm also caused power outages around Vincennes.
Indiana State Police reported that a tornado moved through the Winslow area, resulting in downed trees and power lines, particularly on side streets.
Several homes and structures sustained damage.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
The public is asked to avoid affected areas, use caution while traveling, and never approach downed power lines.
