Powerball Jackpot Hits One Billion Dollars

The jackpot for tonight’s Powerball drawing is now worth one-billion dollars.

Nobody matched all six numbers in Monday night’s drawing for $900M, so the grand prize increased to 975M for tonight’s drawing.

However, on Tuesday, Powerball said the jackpot has surged to an estimated one-billion dollars, with a cash option of over $433M.

That makes the largest Powerball prize so far this year, and the eighth largest in the game’s history.
