The Patoka Lake Watershed Steering Committee will host its annual Clean Up Day on Saturday, September 26th, in conjunction with National Public Lands Day.
The event starts at 8 a.m. at the Patoka Lake Corps of Engineers office, 4512 N. Cuzco Road in Dubois.
Participants may register on-site and will be assigned areas to collect trash and recycling.
Volunteers return to the dam at 11 a.m. for a free fish fry, door prizes, and goodie bags.
Cleanup supplies will be provided.
Volunteers must wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and long pants.
Since 2008, more than 2,000 volunteers have collected nearly 25 tons of trash in and around Patoka Lake.
