USDA Rural Development this week presented Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville, Illinois, with a $450,000 Congressionally Directed Spending Grant secured by U.S. Senator Dick Durbin.
The funding allowed the hospital to upgrade key technology and equipment to improve patient safety, clinical care, and healthcare services across Lawrence County and the surrounding region.
The grant funded an automated medication dispensing system, ultrasound upgrades, and replacement of an aging anesthesia machine used in surgical and procedural care.
