Daviess County’s unemployment rate in May was 2.7%.
The Indiana Department of Workforce Development says that’s the same as a year earlier.
Gibson County’s rate was also 2.7%, a tenth of a percent lower than May of 2025.
Sullivan County’s May jobless rate stood at 2.9%, three tenths of a percent lower than the year before.
Martin and Dubois Counties also had 2.9% unemployment rates in May.
For Martin County, that’s the same as the year before and a tenth of a per cent lower for Dubois County.
Knox County’s May unemployment rate was 3.1%, two tenths of a percent lower than the same time last year.
Pike County’s rate was 3.2%, two tenths of a percent lower than last year.
And Greene County’s jobless rate of 3.2% was also two tenths of a percent lower than May of 2025.
The average unemployment rate for all of Indiana’s 92 counties in May was 3.2%.
