A 50-year-old man from Terre Haute was arrested for allegedly battering a woman and taking their 2-year-old child without permission.
The incident occurred early Thursday morning, prompting a response from the Terre Haute Police Department.
The suspect, identified as Donald Bracken, was found to have arrived at the home intoxicated, assaulted the woman, and left with the child in a vehicle.
With the help of surveillance cameras and the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office, Bracken was located and arrested after a confrontation.
He faces multiple charges, including Domestic Battery, Intimidation, and Kidnapping.
