Washington Catholic Schools is the recipient of a $250 Second Semester Teaching Innovator grant from Our Community Foundation.
The grant will support Giant Coordinate Plane: Bringing Math to Life, a program designed to transform the way students learn math by bringing graphing and coordinate geometry to life.
Using a giant coordinate plane floor mat, students can physically plot points, walk along axes, and create life-sized graphs.
Washington Catholic Teacher, Lori Flynn, accepted the award and was named a Teaching Innovator.
