17 Indiana counties will receive nearly $1.5M in grants to fund 48 lake and stream projects through the Lake and River Enhancement, or LARE, program.
Grants totaling just over one-million dollars will support 15 sediment and logjam removal projects in 11 counties, including Daviess and Sullivan.
Another $444,000 will be used to support projects combating aquatic invasive plants in 33 waterbodies across 11 counties, including Gibson County.
Daviess County received $90,000 while Sullivan County was awarded $75,000.
Gibson County received $13,800 for vegetation management on New Lake.
