The Shelby County, Indiana Prosecutor’s Office says a three-day sting operation last week targeting child sex offenders who seek to exploit children online resulted in eleven arrests involving more than a dozen criminal charges.
The operation was spearheaded by the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the Shelby County Prosecutor’s Office, the Shelby County ICAC Task Force, the Indiana State Police, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department, the Shelbyville Police Department, and Homeland Security.
As a result of the investigation, law enforcement identified and rescued an infant from sexual abuse.
