The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office says the Major Accident Investigation Team has released preliminary findings in its investigation of a one-vehicle crash early Saturday morning on Interstate 69 near the 34-mile marker.
The team is a taskforce between the Princeton Police Department and Gibson County Sheriff’s Office.
Preliminary findings indicate that the car was northbound on Interstate 69, left the roadway, and entered the median between north and southbound traffic.
The vehicle ramped a small ditch and then flipped multiple times.
The driver, a 22-year-old man, was ejected from the vehicle and seriously injured.
The driver was evaluated on scene by emergency service personnel and transported to an area hospital for further treatment.
The investigation is ongoing.
