The National Weather Service has extended a heat advisory for southwest Indiana to Wednesday from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM.
Daviess, Knox, Martin, Greene and Sullivan Counties are included in the advisory.
Heat index values up to 103 degrees are expected.
Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
Be sure to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
