Grant Funding to Help Train More Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners

New grant funding will help train more nurses to work with victims of sexual assault.

The IU Health Foundation and the IU School of Nursing received nearly 1.4 million dollars for a program to train more registered nurses to be sexual assault nurse examiners.

More nurses with this expertise are needed as not all hospitals in Indiana have someone on staff at all hours that can perform an exam on survivors of attacks.
