Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner were found dead inside their Brentwood home on Sunday.
As of Monday, Reiner’s son Nick remained behind bars as authorities continued investigating the stabbing of the acclaimed Hollywood director and his wife.

Family friends of Rob and Michele Reiner told the Los Angeles Times that Nick got into an argument with his parents at Conan O’Brien’s Christmas party Saturday evening. Many people noticed Nick was behaving strangely, according to the outlet.
“Nick was freaking everyone out, acting crazy, kept asking people if they were famous,” a source also told People magazine.
Per TMZ, after Rob and Nick got into a “very loud argument,” the director and Michele left the party.
Los Angeles Fire Department officials responded to a home on the 200 block of Chadbourne Avenue at around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, when two bodies were discovered, Fox News Digital confirmed. Officials later confirmed the bodies to be of Rob Reiner and his wife Michele.
LAPD Assistant Police Chief Dominic Choi confirmed the bodies of Rob and Michele Reiner were found in the couple’s bedroom on Dec. 14 during Tuesday’s LAPD Board of Police Commissioners meeting.
“Upon arrival, officers located two deceased individuals inside the residence, later identified as Rob Reiner and Michelle Reiner,” he said during the meeting. “Both victims were found in the master bedroom of the area of the home.”
Officers then conducted a “thorough search” of the home and found no additional victims or suspects at the residence.
Authorities confirmed Nick Reiner became a person of interest in the deaths of his parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, early on in the investigation.
“Based on the information developed during the early stages of the investigation, the victim’s son, Nick Reiner, was identified as a person of interest,” Choi said during a Board of Police Commissioners meeting held Tuesday.
Authorities remained tight-lipped about the deaths of Rob and Michele Reiner during a press conference held outside the couple’s home on Sunday night.
Nick Reiner was located and arrested around 9:15 p.m. local time Sunday, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a press release shared the next day.

New details emerged about the deaths of Rob Reiner and his wife Michele as authorities continued investigating. A law enforcement official who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity confirmed investigators believe the couple suffered stab wounds.
Rob and Michele’s home also showed no signs of forced entry, officials told the Los Angeles Times.

Rob Reiner’s son, Nick Reiner, was publicly confirmed as a suspect in the deaths of “The Princess Bride” director and his wife, Michele Reiner on Monday. Reiner was arrested on suspicion of murder, according to LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell.
During a press conference on an unrelated matter, the LAPD brought up the deaths of the filmmaker and his wife. McDonnell admitted the information surrounding the deaths was limited.
“First of all, our hearts go out to the family and friends of the Reiners,” the LAPD police chief said at the press conference.
“LAPD responded to a residence, the residence of Rob and Michele Reiner, located in West Los Angeles division. At that location, they found two deceased adults, a male and a female. Through the night, working with the coroner’s office, they were able to identify them definitively as Rob and Michele Reiner. We have our robbery homicide division handling the investigation.”

Nick Reiner’s $4 million bail was revoked at some point Monday. Online records show the son of Rob Reiner has no bail option currently.
Nick Reiner was transferred Monday to the Twin Towers Correctional Facility, according to the Los Angeles Sheriffs Department. He was originally booked into the Metropolitan Detention Center before being transferred to the Inmate Reception Center in Los Angeles.
Online records now show the Twin Towers Correctional Facility as his permanent housing location.
Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner’s death investigation was presented Tuesday to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office, the LAPD confirmed in a press release.
Authorities charged Nick Reiner in the double homicide of his parents. He was hit with two counts of first-degree murder with a special circumstance of multiple murders.
“He also faces a special allegation that he personally used a dangerous and deadly weapon that being a knife,” Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said during a press conference. “These charges carry a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole or the death penalty.”
No decision has been made on whether they’ll seek the death penalty.
Nick Reiner was initially scheduled to appear in court Tuesday for the first time, but his lawyer, Alan Jackson, confirmed to Fox News Digital that “he [was] not medically cleared to be transported to the court.”
“He is going through medical clearance,” Hochman later told reporters during a press conference. “Something that everybody who gets arrested and gets held in the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department jail goes through.”
“Once he is medically cleared, he will be brought to court to be arraigned on these charges.”
A security guard was spotted outside Conan O’Brien’s home in Los Angeles days after Rob and Michele Reiner allegedly attended his Christmas party on Dec. 13.
Nick Reiner appeared in court for the first time Wednesday, days after he allegedly killed his parents.
Nick, 32, sat behind glass in the courtroom wearing a suicide prevention vest. He wore no shirt under the blue vest that went down to his knees. Nick’s hands and his feet were shackled.
Nick Reiner’s defense team asked for a continuance Wednesday in court.
When a judge asked if Reiner waived his rights, Nick said, “Yes, your honor.” His arraignment is set for Jan. 7.
Rob Reiner and his wife Michele died due to multiple sharp force injuries, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiners office.
Other significant conditions contributed to their deaths, the initial report said. Medical examiners determined Dec. 14 as the day the Reiners died, and listed their deaths as homicides.
