
The Indiana Department of Workforce Development reports Martin County had the state’s lowest unemployment rate in July at 3.6%, three tenths’ percent higher than July of last year.
Dubois County’s July jobless rate stood at 3.7%, seven tenths’ percent higher than July of 2023.
Daviess County’s rate of 3.8% was nine tenth’s percent higher than a year ago.
Gibson County’s unemployment rate last month was 3.9%, one percent higher than in July of 2023.
Pike County’s July jobless rate stood at 4.6%, four tenth’s percent higher than the year before.
In Knox County, unemployment was running at 4.7% in July, one percent higher than July of 2023.
Sullivan County’s July unemployment rate was 5.1%, nine tenths of a percent higher than the year before.
And Greene County’s rate last month was 5.8%, 1.2% higher than July of 2023.
The average jobless rate of all of Indiana’s 92 counties in July was 5%.
