Death Reported in Robinson, Illinois Fire

One person died Saturday in a residential fire in Robinson, Illinois.

The Robinson Fire Protection District responded to the 16-hundred block of South Pickford Street shortly after Noon.

Firefighters found heavy smoke and fire coming from the rear of the residence upon their arrival.

Although they immediately began search and rescue operations, they were unable to complete a primary search due to extreme heat.

They later found an unresponsive adult occupant inside the residence.

The Robinson Fire Protection District and the Illinois State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the cause of the fire.
