U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is using Indianapolis International Airport for its operations up to three times a week.
ICE has a facility within the airport’s International Arrivals Building, separate from areas accessible to commercial airline passengers.
The airport is federally regulated as a public-use airport, meaning the Indianapolis Airport Authority must comply with FAA regulations and cannot interfere with federal aviation activities.
The exact scope of ICE’s work at the airport remains unknown.
