Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of Pair on Weapons Charges

The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office says two people were arrested on weapons related charges early Sunday morning during a traffic stop on US 41.

The driver, 39-year-old Frederick Bowers of Tarboro, North Carolina, was arrested for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated/Endangerment and Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon.

A passenger, 27-year-old Jediah West of Vincennes, was arrested for Theft of a Firearm.
