Clinton Man Arrested for Murder

A Clinton man is charged with murder in a missing persons case in Vermillion County.

Indiana State Police uncovered criminal activity during their investigation and determined the missing person had been murdered.

That led to the arrest of 20-year-old Nicholas Yates who was taken into custody without incident and is being held in the Vermilion County Jail.

The name of the deceased is not being released until a positive identification is made by the Vermillion County Coroner’s Office.

That process may take several weeks.
