Indiana State Police say the pilot of a single engine aircraft survived a crash Saturday night in Orange County.
Around 10:00 p.m. the ISP received a call from the Louisville Airport and FAA about a possible downed aircraft near the Orange County/Lawrence County line.
State Police and multiple local first responders searched throughout the night in the heavily wooded area.
The aircraft was located around four o’clock Sunday morning in Orange County near Old Vincennes Road.
The pilot was found inside the plane with non-life-threatening injuries.
Due to the dense woods and hills, the pilot had to be carried out by stretcher.
