A Shelburn man is facing multiple charges stemming from his initial refusal to pull over for a traffic stop on a Sullivan County Road.
When 38-year-old John Taylor finally stopped and surrendered, a probable cause search of his vehicle was conducted.
Sullivan County Sheriff’s deputies found about 30 grams of suspected “bath salts”.
Deputies also found methamphetamine, numerous items of drug paraphernalia, and packaging materials.
It was also discovered that Taylor, a serious violent felon, was also in possession of a loaded handgun.
Taylor is being held in the Sullivan County Jail on charges of Dealing in a Schedule One Controlled Substance, Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Resisting Law Enforcement, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
